Gathering family and friends is our favorite way to entertain, which is why we love Thanksgiving! This year we wanted to do something soft and pretty for our Thanksgiving table. Today we are sharing all the details that went into creating this chic yet simple tablescape.
Changing up the color palette to something less traditional was our goal for this years Thanksgiving. We loved the idea of using blush pink and gold with pops of teal.
These buffalo check plates from Pier One Imports were the perfect way to dress up the table. We also love the gold “gather” making our guests feel special and welcome. Here are a couple tips when styling for your party. Different textures can add such a unique element to the table. Notice we used antique embossed chargers to frame our dinner and salad plates. Instead of having the napkins on the table we folded it over the dinner plate so the pink fringe peaked out from underneath the salad plate. We couldn’t find a tablecloth we loved so we headed over to JoAnn Fabrics and bought a large piece of fabric that we used as our tablecloth and it works out perfectly.
The final touches for this table really made it all come together. One of our favorite finds over the summer was this teal and gold settee from The Summer Market show right down the street from our studio. We fell in love the moment we saw it! Can we talk about these gorgeous glass pumpkins? Almost everything you see on the table came from Pier One Imports. The glass pumpkins were so much fun to tier across the table. You almost felt like you were in a fairytale as you sat down for dinner. Our beautiful feather and crystalized owl made the table fun and whimsical, all the kids wanted to take her home. They named her Sparkle! We used fresh cut bay leaves as garland and put it under the blush pink pumpkin to make it stand out from the beige tablecloth. Finally, we added mercury glass vases on either end of the table with pretty fresh flowers to complete our Thanksgiving tablescape.
Almost every party we host we try to have a signature drink and a food item that really compliments our theme. My mom ended up making these beautiful Raspberry Apple Blossoms for dessert. They were so easy and the colors looked perfect for our table. Click here to see the full recipe.
We loved sharing all of our tips and finds for this years Thanksgiving table. We hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends!
